Thank you for partnering with Orion Online Learning to help support students who would like to earn their high school diploma through either one of our great online schools. First, the schools have been open since 2009 (Orion High School), and 2011 (Texas Success Academy). Both schools provide high quality digital learning focusing on the needs of adults and younger students alike.
Our Minimum Pathway requires students to meet the 22 credit requirements at our institutions. We accept credits from the student's public schooling and then use those credits to determine the gap between what they have and what they need to earn to qualify for a high school diploma. The length of time it takes depends on the student's ability to stay on track; however, the rule of thumb is that students earn 1 credit per month. So, a student needing three credits (3 courses) to graduate will be with us for three months. On the other hand, a student who only needs 1-2 credits is still required to be in 'residence' with us for a minimum of three months, where they will be earning above and beyond the requirements for graduation. Why do we do a residency of three months minimum? We want to know our graduates, and we want to support them as they enter into higher education or technical training; and we want to give them the tools they need to be successful in life after high school.

Both schools are part of the Orion Online Learning Inc., system of accredited digital schools, and are accredited by the Middle States Association, Commission on Elementary and Secondary Schools, and by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
